Harmony Picnic Evening
Dear Parents and Friends,
Re; Harmony Picnic Evening
It is with pleasure we invite you to celebrate the wonderful cultural diversity in our community.
Harmony Week celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
A dedicated committee of staff at East Kenwick Primary School have put together an event not to be missed.
The program starts at 4.15pm on Thursday 12th March for children in year 3-6 (Rooms 1-8 & Room 11).
Classrooms will be open, parents will be welcomed and your child’s teacher will hold a meeting to share important information with you. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and hear about the learning environment for your child/ren along with what you can expect from us and how we work together.
5pm Onwards-Whole School Picnic Event
Afterwards you and your family along with children in the early years, Kindergarten to year 2 are invited to share in a picnic style event, tasting food from around the globe and hearing a Welcome to Country and seeing a Lion Dance performance.
Please see the attached flyer for more information.
We look forward to seeing many parents attending the information session and then celebrating the commencement of Harmony Week (15th-21st March) afterwards.
Kind regards
Jan Hepburn, Principal & Florence Fitzgerald, Harmony Committee Team Leader
